SVG Genie launches a production-minded image-to-3D tool suite

August 17, 2026 — SVG Genie today announced SVG Genie 3D, a set of browser-based tools that expands the company beyond AI vector generation and into visual asset production.

The launch begins with four connected workflows: single-image reconstruction to textured GLB, image-to-STL for full-object meshes, local PNG/SVG extrusion for reliefs and fabrication, and image-to-Three.js for web developers. The tools are organized around the deliverable a user needs rather than around an underlying model name.

Built around the handoff, not the demo

AI 3D generation can return a job marked successful while the resulting file is unreachable, malformed, or unsuitable for its destination. SVG Genie's current pipeline retrieves generated GLB files server-side, checks the GLB 2.0 header and declared length, enforces an output-size boundary, stores accepted files privately, and creates time-limited download access.

When generation, retrieval, validation, or storage fails, the reserved signup preview or purchased credits are returned automatically. The company publishes the exact scope and limitations of those checks in its 3D Quality Standard.

One credit system with visible costs

Standard image-to-3D generation costs one credit and is eligible for a new account's two one-time signup previews. Premium generation costs four purchased credits and runs a materially more expensive reconstruction pipeline. SVG Genie does not offer anonymous AI generation or a daily free-credit reset. Browser-only PNG and SVG extrusion remains free.

A broader company direction

The 3D release is the first step in repositioning SVG Genie as a visual production system. The long-term product direction connects reference images, vectors, 3D assets, fabrication files, and developer handoffs while making validation and repair a visible part of the workflow.
