# Commercial SVG Launch Checklist

Use this before you ship, sell, or hand off an SVG.

## Before You Generate

- Define the actual use case:
  - Etsy listing
  - Cricut cut file
  - website asset
  - client illustration
  - app icon
- Choose the right pipeline:
  - Quick for ideas
  - HD for polish
  - Premium for final hero assets
- Write a prompt with:
  - subject
  - style
  - colors
  - composition
  - intended use

## Before You Download

- Confirm the concept is the right one
- Check for obvious anatomy or layout issues
- Make sure shapes are readable at the target size
- If selling or shipping, regenerate with HD or Premium if needed

## Before Commercial Use

- Make sure the SVG came from a paid generation
- Download the final unlocked file
- Store the prompt and final file together
- Keep a note of where the asset will be used

## Etsy / Marketplace

- Check cut lines and closed shapes
- Avoid tiny details that won’t weed cleanly
- Create at least one mockup before listing
- Use clear file naming
- Bundle related designs when possible

## Cricut / Crafting

- Test the SVG in Cricut Design Space
- Check layering complexity
- Simplify if the design has too many fragile cuts
- Make sure strokes and shapes translate into clean paths

## Web / SaaS

- Optimize file size
- Confirm the asset is readable on light and dark backgrounds
- Test scaling on mobile and desktop
- Export fallbacks if needed

## Client Handoff

- Rename files clearly
- Include color notes if relevant
- Provide one clean final version
- Keep a backup of alternate directions

## Final Questions

- Is this the right concept?
- Is the file clean enough for the job?
- Is the SVG unlocked for commercial use?
- Will the recipient know how to use it?

If the answer to any of those is no, revise before shipping.
